  • Sandra DeSousa - Sandra DeSousa is an Adjunct Instructor of Mathematics at San Jose State University and San Jose City College. She has been teaching developmental math for the last 6 years (in both small classrooms and large lecture halls). Teaching algebra to her struggling students is her favorite because she loves when they “get it.” She is always trying new and different teaching methods to help her students succeed and is very excited to work with Udacity.

Platform

Udacity is a for-profit educational organization founded by Sebastian Thrun, David Stavens, and Mike Sokolsky offering massive open online courses (MOOCs). According to Thrun, the origin of the name Udacity comes from the company's desire to be "audacious for you, the student". While it originally focused on offering university-style courses, it now focuses more on vocational courses for professionals.
