《思想道德修养与法律基础》是一门融思想性、政治性、知识性、综合性和实践性为一体的课程。
作为大学生的第一门思想政治理论课程，本课程以马克思列宁主义、毛泽东思想和中国特色社会主义理论体系为指导，传承中华优秀传统文化，借鉴人类文明的有益创造成果，围绕当代大学生在成长成才过程中面对的思想、道德、法律等问题，进行马克思主义的世界观、人生观、价值观、道德观和法律观的教育教学，帮助大学生提高思想道德素质和法律素质，成长为德智体美全面发展的社会主义事业的合格建设者和接班人。
“Ideological & Moral Cultivation and Fundamentals of Law” Course is a combination of ideological, political, intellectual, comprehensive and practical.
As the first ideological and political theory course of college students, this course is guided by Marxism-Leninism, Mao Zedong Thought and the Theoretical System of Socialism with Chinese Characteristics. This course will inherit the excellent traditional Chinese culture and draw on the beneficial achievements of human civilization. Focusing on such issues as ideology, morality and law faced by contemporary college students, the course is about Marxist worldview, outlook on life, values, morality and legal view. The course is aimed at improving the ideological, moral and legal quality of college students, helping them becomewell rounded,developed and qualifiedbuildersandsuccessorsfor thesocialistcause.

EdX est une plateforme d'apprentissage en ligne (dite FLOT ou MOOC). Elle héberge et met gratuitement à disposition des cours en ligne de niveau universitaire à travers le monde entier. Elle mène également des recherches sur l'apprentissage en ligne et la façon dont les utilisateurs utilisent celle-ci. Elle est à but non lucratif et la plateforme utilise un logiciel open source.
EdX a été fondée par le Massachusetts Institute of Technology et par l'université Harvard en mai 2012. En 2014, environ 50 écoles, associations et organisations internationales offrent ou projettent d'offrir des cours sur EdX. En juillet 2014, elle avait plus de 2,5 millions d'utilisateurs suivant plus de 200 cours en ligne.
Les deux universités américaines qui financent la plateforme ont investi 60 millions USD dans son développement. La plateforme France Université Numérique utilise la technologie openedX, supportée par Google.
