Prérequis

This course is open to all with no prerequisites. It is not necessary to learn the other two parts or one of them before learning this part.

WAN Sha
WAN Sha is a lecturer of the school of Foreign Languages, Hubei University. She received her M. A. from Hubei University in 2004. She is currently a lecturer teaching and conducting research on English as a second language in the School of Foreign Languages,Hubei University. Due to her excellence in teaching, she has been invited to the Confucius Institute of Memphis University in USA teaching Chinese and Chinese culture for two years from 2014 to 2016. Her research interests are teaching Chinese/English as a second language. She taught College English, Introducing China in English, Academic English, and Advanced English Listening and Speaking at Hubei University. WAN Sha has published more than 10 research papers.

ZHOU Yunyun
ZHOU Yunyun, Lecturer of School of Foreign Languages, Hubei University. ZHOU Yunyun received her B.A in 2007 and M.A. in 2010, both from Central China Normal University. She is keen on language teaching and intercultural communication. Being a college English teacher for 8 years, she has won prizes in teaching competitions. She has been to the UK for half a year as an academic visitor, devoting to the research on the intercultural communication from the perspectives of the learners’ identities. As a passionate Chinese culture lover, she participated in activities organized by Confucius Institute in the UK to promote the intercultural communication and to introduce Chinese language and culture to more people. She is particularly interested in traditional Chinese painting. Her research interests are intercultural communication and Chinese culture teaching. She gives instructions of Unit 3 on Chinese painting.

YANG Hui
YANG Hui is an Associate Professor at the School of Foreign Languages, Hubei University. She received her B.A. in 2004 and M. A. from Hubei University in 2010. After graduation, she has been teaching various courses in Hubei University. Her research interest is second language acquisition and English teaching, including teaching students Chinese culture in English. She has been invited to the University of Memphis as a visiting scholar for academic year from 2014 to 2015. During this period, she worked at Confucius Institute and English Department. She has published several articles and participated in compiling three textbooks with her colleagues. She is responsible for Unit 4 on the topic of Chinese Kung Fu.
