Week 1 - Innovating in Healthcare
How do physicians see and interpret the patient? Can physicians observe without judging? Are there more cost effective ways of disease prevention and treatment? What role does innovation play? How can an entrepreneurial approach improve healthcare?
Week 2 - Finding What's Needed
What are the key elements of disease fundamentals? What are our treatment options? What is the most objective method to observe and document the disease process? Can treatment methods be understood through process improvement?
Week 3 - Prioritizing Needs
What is the full cycle of care? How do you prioritize needs? How do you specify needs? How do you prepare a Need Statement?
Week 4 - Sizing Up the Market
Who are your stakeholders? Can you identify them? Are all stakeholders equally important? How do you analyze a market? What methods and sources do you use?
Week 5 - Designing an Innovation
What approaches work best for design creation? Is "Brainstorming" an actual process? How do you select the "best fit" design from competing choices? How do you assess the operating environment? Is regulation always bad? Do you have a reimbursement plan?
Week 6 - Gaining Commitment
How do you gain commitment from your stakeholders? Do you have the tools to advocate for your proposal? Do you have a viable business model?
