About the content

Worried about that speech you're about to give? Virginia Tech Associate Professor Greg Justice has some tips to warm up your voice and rock your presentation. When Justice isn’t directing plays and teaching acting classes at Virginia Tech, he’s engaged in an artistic form of outreach: showing Fortune 500 executives, teachers, professional speakers, interviewees, and others how to use vocal warmups to help their public speaking.

With a background in theatre, I often find myself doing vocal exercises before delivering a training session, going on a call with a client, or giving a talk. It might seem silly, but these sort of things can be effective in loosening up and relaxing before you need to speak for long periods of time.
