Syllabus

  1. What the determinant factors of thermal comfort and indoor air quality are.
  2. How Fanger’s theory and the adaptive comfort theory work, and what recent developments are in this domain.
  3. How to take thermal comfort into account in the design of buildings, components and energy systems.
  4. How to measure and analyze actual thermal comfort in buildings and to relate it to comfort complaints.
  5. What are the determinant factors of healthy indoor environments.
