Course details

Syllabus

After completion of this course you will be able to use all four modules in the RAMP tool. In detail, the participants will be:

  • familiar with commonly used MSD risk assessment methods and when to use various methods
  • able to carry out in-depth assessments of musculoskeletal disorder (MSD) risk factors using the second module, RAMP II
  • able to develop risk reducing solutions and action plans (using RAMP Results and Action modules)
  • familiar with how to present results from risk assessments for different stakeholders within an organization

Prerequisite

Users need access to Microsoft Excel 2010 or later versions, in order to download and use the RAMP-tool.

Successful completion of the first course in the Professional Certificate program, Assessment of work related injury risks using RAMP I, is recommended but not required. A basic understanding of the RAMP tool and the risk management process, as well as basic knowledge of musculoskeletal disorders (course I) is needed to be successful. The course targets learners in various professional roles, with and without higher education, or with and without prior expertise in ergonomics.
