Week 1: Conception of environmental justice

Week 2: Politics of environmental justice

Week 3: Local perspective of environmental justice

Week 4: Global perspective of environmental justice

Week 5: Practical approaches to environmental justice research

Prerequisite

This course is designed for people who are already working on environmental problems or are familiar with environmental issues. It seeks to address environmentalists around the world although a background on international development will be useful.

Instructors

Adrian Martin
He's a social scientist who works on issues of conservation and development and environmental justice. His research is mainly in Sub Saharan Africa

Platform

FutureLearn is a massive open online course (MOOC) learning platform founded in December 2012.

It is a company launched and wholly owned by The Open University in Milton Keynes, England. It is the first UK-led massive open online course learning platform, and as of March 2015 included 54 UK and international University partners and unlike similar platforms includes four non-university partners: the British Museum, the British Council, the British Library and the National Film and Television School.
