Supervise medical students and trainees effectively with this free online course, ideal for clinical and educational supervisors. Are you a new clinical or educational supervisor? Are you finding some areas of clinical supervision challenging? Do you need to refresh your supervision skills? If so, this free online course is for you. It will help you improve your knowledge and skills, to become a more effective supervisor. Ideal for busy healthcare professionals Delivered online over two weeks, this course is ideal if you’re a busy general practitioner, consultant, or other medical or healthcare professional, who has day-to-day supervisory responsibility for medical students, junior doctors or postgraduate medical trainees, in hospital or community settings. The course is mapped to competences within the Academy of Medical Educators’ framework for the professional development of postgraduate medical educators. This framework is used by the General Medical Council and Health Education England as a benchmark for recognition (accreditation) of clinical educators in the UK. Develop your confidence in supervising medical trainees The course will help you develop your knowledge and skills in two challenging areas of supervision, and improve your confidence in supervising your students and trainees. You will learn about the importance of providing regular, timely feedback to students and trainees in their placements, and find out how to do this effectively.
