Université de Paris

The University of Paris (also known as the New University of Paris) was re-created in 1896 as a grouping of the Faculty of Science, the Faculty of Arts, the Faculty of Law, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Protestant Theology and the École supérieure de pharmacie. It was dissolved at the end of 1970 to make way for thirteen independent universities.
